What is online monitoring?
It means checking the status of a system online, for example viewing water pump status from a mobile phone, a computer or a control room, without having to be on site.
Besides online monitoring, we also design systems that let you control equipment online.
What equipment is needed for online monitoring?

There are many technologies today. The most popular for motor control is the IoT Gateway, available from several brands such as Siemens, Wecon and Haiwell. The data is kept online on each brand's own cloud.
We mainly use Haiwell Cloud because it is free, makes user management easy, is highly stable and connects easily to PLCs and other controllers. Other brands are available to suit customer needs and specifications.
Can it connect to my existing control panel, and what needs to change?
Yes. In most cases nothing needs to be replaced; we add equipment to support the system.
We can advise on a system design based on your actual site, without replacing the whole panel. See the basic checklist below.
- How the existing panel is controlled If there is already a PLC, its data can be read into the Gateway, sometimes with a few extra relays for any additional signals. Without a PLC or controller, we recommend adding one for easier and more flexible data handling.
- Monitoring only, or control too Remote control may need additional wiring inside the control panel, depending on each job.
- Is internet available Any Wi-Fi or LAN connection will work. Without one, a 4G SIM or an extra router is needed (depending on the Gateway model).
- Is the panel already full If there is little space in the existing panel, a separate enclosure is needed, because the system requires good ventilation for a longer service life and to prevent signal interference (especially in systems with inverters).
Engineer’s tip: Besides real-time status monitoring, the systems we design let you check and edit both the PLC program and the cloud screens from anywhere in an emergency.
Which power meter brand do I need?
Data logging does not depend on the brand but on how the meter connects. Any power meter that supports Modbus RTU / TCP and has addresses for the data you need will work.
The whole system does not need to be one brand; we can connect many different brands.
What else can you do besides IoT?
We build communication systems and connections between many types of devices, and protocol conversion, for example converting Modbus TCP to drive analog devices, linking PLCs of different brands to work as one, or setting them up as Remote I/O, and more.
- Communication Modbus RTU, Modbus TCP, Profinet, Profibus, RS-232, RS-485 and others
- BAS Building automation systems: temperature control (AHU / chilled water valves), lighting on/off and more
- Remote I/O Let PLCs of different brands talk to each other and add both digital and analog I/O to a system. We mainly use GMD Remote I/O; other brands are available on request.
What affects the price
- Number of I/OHow many devices to monitor, such as pump status and sensors
- Existing or new panelPanel cost varies with the type of job
- Connectivity / data transferWi-Fi, LAN, Modbus and signal conversion
- DashboardNumber of display screens, data logging and reports
